Taradiddle is a youth writing program, created by the non-profit organization, Guardian Whiskers Inc, in Madison, Wisconsin.
Taradiddle Contests
Submit fun animal-themed stories inspired by Taradiddle writing prompts for a chance to win prizes and become a published young author. Enter the Taradiddle Young Writer contest, it’s free to enter, the next Taradiddle contest is coming up in April.

How to Enter
Submit the entry form to enter the free Taradiddle Young Writer Contest! It’s that simple!
If you’re signing up on your own, register with either your email (if you’re 13 or older), or your parent/guardian’s email (if you’re under 13).
Participants or participant Guardians will receive contest rules, start dates and deadlines by email.
IMPORTANT: Your parent or guardian must review the Terms & Conditions and give you permission before you establish an account.
Contest Categories
Category 1: Taradiddle Middle School Young Writer Contest
Guardians may enter 9-13-year-olds into the contest. These participants are entered into Category 1 judging. Guardians assist Category 1 entrants receive contest information and help explain the program and rules to entrants. They also electronically submit participant stories on behalf of the child.
## Category 2: Taradiddle High School Young Writer Contest
14-18-year-olds enter the contests themselves and are judged as Category 2 participants. Category 2 participants will review the rules and enter electronically on their own.
Prizes
All Participants
All participants receive completion badges to share online each time they enter a contest.
Finalists
Finalists receive a Taradiddle pin by mail.

The Taradiddle Award:
Special award for participants who overcome ability or emotional challenges to participate in the contest.
